​Conventional Mirage Drive Trolling Motor is sealed and designed to fit Hobie Mirage well. The motor is lightweight and only 9lbs and 46#’s of force, it definitely packs a powerful punch. It includes a wired remote control / potted electronics, speeds: 5 forward, 2 reverse, customized aluminum two-blade propeller, and 12 volts.  Saltwater (SW). Conventional Trolling Motors are the most commonly used motors for kayaking due to their cost-effectiveness and versatility. The 5 forward and 2 reverse speeds, allow you to quickly reach your desired destination or fishing spot. These motors are also useful for repositioning your kayak when faced with currents or wind that push you off course. The speeds have specific purposes, such that the first and second speeds are meant for short bursts of use, not for trolling. The third speed is ideal for covering large areas while conserving battery, while the fourth speed enables faster travel over longer distances. The fifth speed is reserved for situations that require speed, such as rough weather or emergencies, allowing you to reach safety or shore quickly.
​​Note: Remote control is wired, hand-held, and mountable.  Battery cables run from the remote control to the battery, and trolling motor cables run from the remote control to the trolling motor.   Battery cables are approx. 53 inches long.
