Conventional Trolling Motors
​Are the most commonly used motor for boating and kayaking. They are cost-effective and are equipped with 5 forward / 2 reverse speeds. They are primarily designed to propel you quickly to your desired destination or fishing hole, and then reposition your boat or kayak when currents or wind blow you off course.
Understanding Conventional Speeds:
– 1st and 2nd speeds are designed for “short bursts” only, not to exceed 15-minute intervals at a time. “Not for trolling”, as it will damage these two speeds.
– The 3rd speed is for covering larger areas, traveling and mostly getting around while conserving battery.
– The 4th speed is for traveling longer distances faster.
– The 5th speed is for when speed is required, such as a change in the weather, current, chop waters, or an emergency; getting to safety or shore quickly.
Battery Compatibility: Deep Cycle Marine, AGM, and GEL batteries. Conventional trolling motors are Not compatible with Lithium-Ion / LiFePO4 batteries

Includes 8′ telescoping steering handle aluminum anodized, for kayaks without a rudder cable system; also available foot steering or rudder steering for kayaks with existing rudders or rudder cable-ready kayaks.

The kayak rudder motor transom mount is designed to fit all kayaks that are rudder-ready or have an existing rudder
Stainless bolts that attach directly to the transom.
Fasteners are stainless, designed for plastic kayaks, and are self-sealing requiring no sealant..
The motor is sealed against water intrusion. The corded cables are sealed. The remote controller housing is IP64.
The motor bracket is made of HDPH polypropylene material and carries a lifetime warranty. The motor includes a propeller.
The lift cord kit is included with the trolling motor kit, a clam shell cord restrainer, and two stainless screws.
